Lighting is a storytelling tool. It can make the same scene with the same dialog feel totally different to the viewer when lit different ways. Filmmakers need to be aware of how the lighting is effecting the emotional clues being given to the audience and use them to help better tell the story.

This is an essential workshop for cinematographers, directors, lighting directors, and gaffers focused on mastering the techniques of using lighting to create emotional impact in storytelling. It offers a deep dive into practical skills and methods for manipulating light to evoke specific moods and feelings, making it invaluable for professionals seeking to enhance their technical expertise. Production designers and filmmakers will also greatly benefit from learning how to integrate these lighting techniques into their visual storytelling toolkit. Additionally, film students and educators will find this workshop instrumental in building a strong foundation in the technical aspects of cinematic lighting.
